About this deal

What is known is that Gelt arrived in Marienburg fifteen years ago (circa 2497 IC) aboard a Tilean merchant ship, making a hasty exit from the city when the gold he used to pay for his passage turned to lead a few days later. Though he speaks Reikspiel with the diction and vocabulary of the nobility, his accent betrays hints of something more exotic, though none have been able to place it. As for his prior life, discreet investigations in southern lands have learned little. Those known to have dealt with Balthasar Gelt — almost assuredly not his real name, though no earlier is known — refuse to speak of him. [1a] [4a] There are rumors that sea captain Gelt swindled with the gold has placed a rich bounty on Balthasar's head, though few would dare to attempt to collect it. [1a] Fabius Bile: Clonelord is the sequel to Primogenitor, and while it’s really a Fabius Bile story, it does feature Trazyn the Infinite in a major role, and details how he came into possession of one of his greatest prizes. Basecoat with Leadbelcher. Stipple/Splotch armor with Nuln Oil along the bottom half of the large plates, and along sides of pillars, then wash in the recesses. Greedy Gold:A medium gold with a hint of orange. Very similar to GW Gehenna’s Gold, coverage is not too bad for gold paint, but it can’t match the opacity of GW’s Retributor Armour. We live in dark times. With the Imperium shattering we need new leadership structures to come though. We need the bravest space marine legion. A legion that doesn’t specialise in running aw-

Retibutor has only one other competitor for a Base gold paint, and that's Balthasar Gold. I have to say, as a gold paint, it far outshines its predecessor. That's not to say Balthasar is bad, in fact I love that paint. If you are being fair though Balthasar Gold isn't really a gold paint, it's more accurately a brass or copper. Retributor Gold though is exactly what it says it is. It's a rich, deep, and fairly bright gold color. I am beyond excited that I finally have a real gold Base paint. Balthasar Gold is a warm-toned paint, so it pairs well with cool-toned colours like blue and cool-toned colours like red, creating a striking contrast. Ultramarines Blue, Calgar Blue and Mephiston Red, Wild Rider Red are analogous colours which allow for a balance and harmony between the colors The Night Lords Legion paint scheme during the Horus Heresy era was primarily midnight blue with silver and gold accents. The main color of the armor was a dark blue, achieved through a base coat of Kantor Blue followed by layers of Caledor Sky and highlights of Alaitoc Blue. The trim and other details were painted in a bright metallic silver color such as Runefang Steel, and gold accents were added to denote rank or specialization. Work out any little details you see across the models (symbols/jewels/phylacteries) and what these need.Lord of the Night by Simon Spurrier. A long lost Night Lord from the heresy goes up against an entire planet alone. Until ADB’s Night Lords trilogy this was the go-to for source material about the 8th legion. Honestly the technique I use for my purples could probably be done faster just by wet blending instead of mixing each colour together sequentially, but I am not very good at that at the moment! Plus, I am still pretty happy with how it comes out, particularly when these models have a ton of small gems, lenses, and blades.Duncan Rhodes Painting Academy: How to Paint Heresy era Blood Angels Legionaries for Warhammer | Duncan Rhodes In our How to Paint Everything series we look at how to paint well, everything, with multiple schemes and techniques. In today’s article we’re looking at the death mask-clad faces of the Age of Sigmar franchise, the Stormcast Eternals. The cape and hieroglyphics on the chest were given a base coat of Polished Gold. Then an all over wash of Reikland Fleshshade. Next an edge highlight with Silver. For the finished photo I gave the recesses in the cape another careful fill of Reikland for some more definition. Then the circles were painted with a combination of grey and Monument Metal Medium, then a dot of white and Metal medium at the top. The forehead stripe was done with a base coat of Pallid Wych Flesh, then Metal Medium and Wych Flesh mix. A final highlight at the brow and top of head was done with Metal Medium and white mix. I did a video on the scheme when AoS 2nd edition first released, and it goes through my method in detail. A Lord of Virulence leads Boarding Patrol: Death Guard. Alongside him stalk three Deathshroud Terminators and 10 Plague Marines, each a veritable wall of flesh and iron. Boarding Patrol: Genestealer Cults
