About this deal

I know the XSR is a light bike but I also used it on my Tiger 900 to turn the front wheel whilst washing it. The Bad Dog Wheel Spinner has a solidly-constructed, powder-coated steel frame with two rollers, each equipped with a pair of sealed bearings.

This is perhaps one of the easiest and most straightforward ways of spinning the rear wheel so you can look after the chain. This lift arm from BikeTek is designed to lift the rear wheel off the ground in conjunction with the bikeu2019s sidestand. The bearings in the rollers are fully shielded and the product is fully powder coated to avoid corrosion so light contact with water will not cause a problem.

I’ve since found that the best bet is to put the spinner BEHIND the front wheel, with the built-in ramp pressed against the tyre, then pull the bike onto its centre stand. It also had a handy ramp to make getting the bike onto the rollers easy while the small-diameter rollers help keep the tyre close to the ground.

The Bad Dog Wheel Spinner doesn’t replace a set of paddock stands, and to be honest, when working on my R1250GS, I tend to use the centre stand, then tuck a paddock stand under the front wheel, which allows both wheels to be spun. The competitors product must be identical to the one sold by ourselves including brand, model, size etc. Note - The rubber disc is designed to be placed under the side stand to lift the bike more upright as the rear wheel is elevated on the Wheel Spinner tool. Here is a selection of motorcycle wheel spinner that lift the rear wheel off the ground so you can spin it and look after your chain. The device lifts the bike off the ground and some side stands are then too short to reach the ground - so danger of being dropped. You stand the bike and insert this between the ground and the rear swingarm (obviously not single-sided swingarms on the same side as the sidestand).

TRU-TENSION - From lubricants and cleaning products to tools and accessories, Tru-Tension's innovative designs have helped motorcycle and motorsport enthusiasts across the globe achieve optimum performance with precise chain and belt tension. While putting the Bad Dog Wheel Spinner behind the front wheel of the GS, then pulling it onto its centre stand did make life easier, this still saw the rear wheel touch the ground (and that’s with a worn, squared-off tyre), so on this bike in this orientation, it doesn’t allow for both wheels to be spun at the same time. CLEANING TOOL - Wheel Monkey by Tru-Tension is a roller stand for motorcycles which allows the front or rear wheels to be quickly and easily rotated for cleaning and maintenance. I would recommend using a puc or block of wood to keep the bike more towards level as it can lean over on the sidestand.
