Up to four on a team seems to work well, though three is even better for maximum opportunity for involvement. If they are confident at getting a question in one subject right they would put it on the fourth square on the board (scoring four points for a correct answer). The biggest downside of this is that there has been no extra card pack expansions to keep the game fresh for people who play it regularly (or even semi-regularly).
