I became immediately engaged in this book, but much to my disappointment, that engagement was short-lived. What about your own relationship with her, what did she think of you as a child, what really made her proud and what advice would she give you now? The pages just have a title or question at the top to prompt interesting memories and stories about their life so it's not just a blank book that leaves you not knowing what to put or where to start. I didn’t read a thing about it other than that it was a thriller before diving in so I had no idea where this book was going to go. i felt the author did a wonderful job of including you in all aspects of the events going on in the story.

However, I wouldn’t consider this a psychological thriller as the only thing psychological about it was that the killer was messing with Kate’s head. I will also be doing each child (all adults, but one) a scrapbook with their school reports, school work, things they made and some photos. We really like the sketch illustrations on the internal pages which break up the space, allowing information to be written, sketches to be made or photos to be stuck.The memorial garden is designed to provide a therapeutic support service for bereaved families in a very special and interactive way and is the first of its kind in the UK. I absolutely adored most of her narration, but I lost engagement when she changed to either a child or male POV.

There were a few spots that confused me, I'm not sure if that's because I was listening to the audiobook or not. Kare is a compelling, relatable and believable character, but the plot lost steam in the third act, and the climax was weaker than the road leading to it. You have the option to make this journal even more special by adding your personal touch and creating a personalised version.
