About this deal

Or if we’re doing Old MacDonald and I ask what animal we should do next, suddenly nobody can remember any animals! It’s a long story, but I have somehow landed the job of ‘ song time leader‘ at mums and tots (and I only visited the baby group for first time 7 sessions ago! We have included a printout of the lyrics for each song which doubles as a cue sheet so you know exactly what song each prop links too. We have used our bag every day since it arrived and the children can't wait for us to get it out ,the children love having it at my house!

Nursery rhymes are actually a key part of early years' literacy development; they’re children's first insights into poetry, rhyming, rhythm, repetitions, patterns, and much more. These busy bag resources are particularly useful when working with children who learn best through sensory activities. Once we had collected everything, we simply put it in the sack, along with the book and said we’d play with it later! Our sack is based around the particular nursery rhymes in the book we read a lot of (pictured below). If you’ve already done that, your item hasn’t arrived, or it’s not as described, you can report that to Etsy by opening a case.

The set includes favourites such as Polly Put the Kettle On, Incy Wincy, 10 Fat Sausages and so much more. Introducing the "Sing with Me Nursery Rhyme Bag", it takes the guesswork out of song time and allows everyone to be involved! As a teacher who works in children's ministries, the bonus of the faith-themed songs was a delight to receive. a 3D and a 2D Shape Bag and each bag comes complete with foam shapes and name labels (see our review of the 3D shape bag here). And, because the same songs are being repeated at each session, the children learn them and start to join in very quickly.

Great for interactive play with toddlers and preschoolers; awesome for daycares, schools, and playgroups, and just to have at home to use with your kids! If I was doing this with a younger child, I would simplify it by choosing one or two nursery rhymes from the book and use a smaller sack. I purchased these for my 3 year old son who has autism he loves nursery Rhymes I find these are a great way to encourage him to make a choice which nursery Rhyme he wants me to sing along to they also encourage him to sit on his mat and join in there fantastic would highly recommend. Our busy bag activities are designed to let children experiment with different objects to learn and develop. The ratings/reviews displayed here may not be representative of every listing on this page, or of every review for these listings. Rhymes are a source of developing literacy and phonic skills, as they offer the ability to read and determine letter sounds.
