About this deal

Over on Hofnerland, we had the usual - some nice Chinese guitars, some cheap Chinese guitars, some lovely German basses, some Germanclassical guitars and a couple of German steel-string guitars. Assigning footswitches (from the footswitch and NMP-2) allows different effect blocks to be activated or not in the same preset. Perfect for accompanying yourself and practicing your instrument, silently if you wish thanks to the mini-jack headphone output.

Using the integrated expression pedal and the additional EXP connector on the front of the MG-30, the control of individual effect parameters by foot is also easily possible. Change the CAB TYPE to your preference- can also load a third party CAB IR, will have a large impact on achieving desired tone. Best of both worlds, albeit it can generate some noise, of course, if the proper tools and strategies are not used. And their bias control doesn't react no more as a third volume control, like it did in my unit after V3. Regarding the bias setting: thx for sharing, I've not yet tried to tweak this parameter with high gain models. My guitar teacher has a Line 6 HX Stomp XL and seems to have added a separate foot press/release part to it. After 1 week using it I am so excited bout this unit already and still I feel like I only scratched the surface of what this thing can do. As I use impulse responses reproducing my own cabs, I can obtain really similar tones from the real amps in the room and from the MG30 throught the board. I haven't had an MG30 in a while, but I think I remember that some patches were meant to be used with an amp and didn't have them. Since I added the 2x50 watt power amp, I'll be needing mains power for the foreseeable future, unless I can rig a high current 24v supply to go with a 9v supply source.

What works for you with your phones on will sound completely different to another person wearing identical 'phones. The goal was to see if it had enough power on tap to reproduce a line level output when fed by a padded signal. No flat frequency response from the MG30 for the moment, even if all effects disabled and all EQ controls at noon. On the contrary studio speakers at home can help a lot to tweak your presets (still with mono sounds, and loud stereo backing tracks).

V battery in a plastic ammo case with a small circuitboard housing two 7809 voltage regulators and connectors on the outside.I have used and played with several effects units but none had the sound quality this NUX MG-30 delivers. I know Andy Gillion used a Mooer GE-200 on tour and I can totally see these small modelers being great for fitting your entire live rig in a gigbag with your guitar. A built-in expression pedal can control various parameters, and a built-in tuner allows you to always be in tune quickly, silently if needed. I hope the market gives the 30 a fair shake, but it seems NUX is still only able to ship limited numbers.

A said I really like the amp sounds, 5150 is huge, Marshalls are really close to the real thing, recti sounds great, Fenders sound great.Having had Boss, Line6, Zoom, this is by a big difference one of the easiest to deal with and one of the best I've owned.
