About this deal

This is a fun sounding, B-Boy style tuning with a penchant for big bass riffs, warm and heavy bass drops and an altogether hip-hop style. Violin doesn’t sound attenuated and has plenty of sharpness when it needs to sound sharp and smoothness when it needs to be smooth.

Plastic covers almost the entirety of the units from the 2 pin connectors all the way up to the nozzles. In terms of timbral accuracy, the KBEAR KS1 is very natural and organic for acoustic instruments, as per its single DD roots. However if instead of a plastic shell they had used some other material we would probably have had a much better sound. Downsides to the Treble RegionThe biggest issue to the treble would be for treble heads who desire better resolution and a cleaner treble punch and bite up top. It is bottlenecked at the technicalities aspect and in the bass quality area, but I feel it would otherwise make a fine addition for those who are new to this hobby or those who want a laid back tuning that is different from the usual budget CHIFI fare.

For non-nerds, this graph means that these earphones are the dogs nuts and are great for all music Next is the bass drum kick which has thunderous and full sound that really reverberates our ears, then a guttural, eerie and dense quality of bass baritones.

Sound DifferencesTo start, the P05 has better resolution across the board with cleaner note definition and also has better detail retrieval as well. In the end, if you would’ve liked to have seen the Cadenza with a hint less vibrancy and bass than I’d say the KB01 is your jam.

Still, at the beginning and at the end of the day, the reason we purchase earphones will always revolve mostly around the sound. If you are looking for a detail-oriented budget offering, the LARK is actually a decent contender if you are not so treble sensitive like me. The treble does come across a bit dry, and thinner, while providing “acceptable” detail retrieval for “such a tuning”.The bass is the most prominent on this one, vivacious, hard hitting and boomy that really smears across the midrange. The KB01 comes across with a slight warmth and a tinge of neutrality and sounds very nice without any great coloration across the mix. Overall the fit is universal and the contours are rounded and safe enough for those folks who don’t like protruding wings. With that said, resolution is pretty nice, driver speed isn’t horrible either which does present a decently resolute replay within a warmer canvas. Despite its focus on detail retrieval, separation and clarity, such tuning isn’t going to do well when reviewing them.

The contents of this review should not be considered factual as this hobby heavily leans on subjectivity. However, listening to a voice like Avi Kaplan’s (who is far deeper in pitch) on the track “ First Place I Go“, the KB01 doesn’t quite get you that resonant depth and his voice almost sounds a hair artificial. strands of 6N OFC high-quality earphone cable not only effectively improve the transparency, separation, sound field, making the sound bottom crystal clear, vocals and musical instruments are more beautiful and beautiful, but also provides better sound quality signal transmission. The P05 leans warm/neutral, it’s very clean and very resolute and replays my music close to accurate. The dexterity of its bass is pretty good as well, it sounds clean and its separation abilities are quite good. Secondary harmonics of cymbals and hi-hats have a decent trail-off which proves the Storm does have decent extension past 8k. Those familiar with KB budget offerings will recognize the cable immediately although there are some differences from the previous generation.
