About this deal

Her writing is on pitch and thoughtful, balancing serious ideas, like family trauma and the nature of love and commitment, with a light-hearted touch. I absolutely loved the eclectic characters that were part of Josh and Audrey’s past and future - the astronomical element that was threaded throughout the story was grounding. Her debut novel, This Time Next Year has been sold into seventeen territories and was an instant New York Times bestseller.

A total page-turner - with an endearing protagonist and packed with humour and warmth , Before I Do is a dazzling romance . I don't know how many authors need to hear this as well as people in general: TRAUMA and MENTAL ILLNESS IS NOT AN EXCUSE FOR TREATING PEOPLE POORLY. this book isn't just simple romance - there is plenty of depth too, and twists that will keep you guessing right up to the final chapters!

I truly cannot think of a single thing to regret of 2023, which makes stepping into 2024 a bigger year of hope and growth for myself. I can't say this book was difficult for me to read or get through--in fact, I actually read it in a day. It was something that I never thought I'd do, or something that I would hold off on for a few years yet.

Then unexpectedly Josh’s sister brings a date to the wedding who Audrey felt like he was the one that got away. Yet Josh was SO adorable, I felt guilty every time we read about Audrey and Fred, while simultaneously swooning at their obvious chemistry. You might remember those words spoken by Lord Cutler Beckett in the Pirates of the Carribean film franchise. She now lives in Jersey, where she balances her writing career with taking care of her two small children.Normally, a lack of connection to the humor would have knocked down a star or two, but by story's end, I was so invested in Audrey and her happiness that I didn't NEED any jokes to give me a giant smile on my face! Apparently, I can’t handle wedding-centric books, or at least not ones involving dysfunctional people. But I'm beginning to come across the problem that plagues a lot of older technology—my Kindle was simply not supported anymore, which means no more program updates and difficulties connecting to wifi. On a whim, she left behind her own strip of photos, hoping this stranger would come back for his and find hers.

The story is so relatable, I know I have thought about what if I made different choice in my life what would it look like? A moving, joyful love story, This Time Next Year explores the way fate leads us to the people we least expect--no matter what the odds. Audrey, herself, I found myself coming to root for, even if I didn't always agree with her actions through the book and at times could be frustrated by her. But I think that's because I am always here for the *drama*, and this story definitely had plenty of that.Picture sitting there totally memerised in this story and find yourself laughing out loud and almost thoking on your drink because you are not expecting that LOL moment. Their mothers gave birth to them at the same hospital just after midnight on New Year's Day, but Quinn was given the cash prize for being the first baby born in London in 1990--and the name Minnie was meant to have, as well. As bad omen after bad omen begin to unfold before the wedding, including the sudden reappearance of Fred, all but professing his love, Audrey must decide who it is she’s meant to be with and deal with the obstacles standing in her way.
