He hosted several daytime and prime time programs titled The Garry Moore Show, and the game shows I've Got a Secret and To Tell the Truth. When Moore was six years old, his father invited him onstage to sing " Sugartime" with a showband at an event he had organised, which first sparked his interest in music. After dropping out of high school, Moore found success first as a radio host and later moved to the medium of television.

While Moore acknowledged his reputation of being difficult to work with at times, he attributed this to his own perfectionism, holding others up to the same standards he set for himself.

From the Dino perspective, the author doesn't exactly slag Gary's heavy rock, Victims of the Future-era guitar work -- he gives it it's due, but it's clearly not the author's favorite period of Gary's.
