Beast eats a whole ass raw steak, thrown on the ground, and then goes down town on Aurora..? 🤢🤮🤢🤮 any type of hygiene would have been great in this book. I loved the idea of Beast. He was a boy, stolen from off the streets, kept in a cage, treated like a dog, raised/tortured to be a killer, and yet... he can't kill the girl.

This ‘man’ is supposed to be her father and he has done nothing but sell her out, put her down, and show her how much he hates her through his personal interactions and treatment from the beginning. Yet, she still wants to ‘save’ him to the detriment of everyone, including Beast. I’m sorry, but WTF?! There were so many different directions this could have been taken that it just about ruined the whole story for me. One touch. One kiss. One look. They fell in love. But they were separated by a glass. The only way they can communicate is through eyes, signs and beats. Until.........she speaks again. This story begins right in the middle of the epic cliffhanger in Beast, as we see Aurora escaping immediate danger but she’s on the run, leaving behind a dying Beast. And can she leave behind the man she loves, when she doesn’t know his fate?Not that it’s surprising since I have a thing for the beastly ones, but for someone who has been treated worse than an animal for almost his entire life, he has more compassion and heart than many of those around him. Caged features two tortured characters who find bliss and life force in each other. The female character has a strong will and fights for freedom until the very end like a real heroine. I didn't quite know what to expect from this story, but it's a little devious, a little hot and very entertaining. It's written in a casual style with a few interesting sentences here and there that make food for thought and great quotes. This is the second book in the Beast & Beauty duet. If follows book one, Beast, which ended in a cliffhanger. It is part of the Debts & Vengeance world, although this new duet may be read independently. Those having read the earlier books will have already been introduced to the beast and his owner and therefore have more context. And guys…. The sex scenes weren’t even good. They were a little ridiculous to be honest. And aurora was such a moron I had a hard time getting past that ridiculous inner dialogue to even enjoy anything the author wrote about her. Have I read a horrible book just for a steamy scene between characters? Sure, guilty as charged. Would I recommend that here? Absolutely not.

A good representation of the hero. Fantastic composition and title work as well. Still, I did finish and enjoyed it to a point once I managed to suspend my disbelief slightly but unfortunately there was just something missing for me with this one. This duet was so bad and yet I couldn’t put it down and had to finish it. It’s supposed to be based on beauty and the beast I guess but other than the names there’s no other sign of that story here.
