About this deal

While these two cases do share a few features, the chassis layout is completely different between the 604 and the Mini-ITX compatible Node 304. Combined with the three fan controller built into the chassis, users can define what is comfortable for their environment.

The HTTP status code 304 means Not Modified – the web page you requested hasn’t changed since the last time you accessed it. That, or these case makers need to start including a modest (realistic) PSU that works for the form factor. It also has the serious advantage of supporting standard ATX power supplies and graphics cards, albeit with a few provisos in the dimension stakes, more of which later. Personally, I don't think it needs more than ~400W, as running a space-heater GPU in such a cramped case is just asking for problems anyway. Having the PSU and main storage array located behind the motherboard and other components helps keep everything simple. The vents in the side panels allow for the PSU and graphics card (located either side) to draw in (graphics card) or vent (PSU) air through the side panels. Corrupt application – If a user has any application which has corrupt files related to their browser, it will impact its ability to save web pages and update information. The left side is taken up by the window panel and the right is bare aside from the front I/O, which consists of two audio jacks and two USB-A 3.

There is a larger Node chassis that is more of an HTPC design and will allow for full ATX motherboards inside of it with the Node 604. Then there's the SilverStone Technology SUGO 14, which like the Core V21 doesn't support as many drives for high-capacity server use, but is a slightly more compact chassis, allowing one to set up their own home NAS in more restrictive positions. The front fans are a pair of Fractal's own Silent Series R2 92mm fans, which spin at a maximum of 1,300rpm. What is really nice is that even when set to the "H" position, the high speed of the Silent Series R2 fans even within a foot of the chassis there is a minimal hum heard near the chassis. Built with the usual Fractal Design high quality and attention to detail, the Node 304 has a very distinctive look thanks to its solid aluminium front bezel; the first thing you'll notice is the lack of support for an optical drive, but with our large digital download libraries, that's a diminishing requirement. The two side panels are secured to the Node 804 using screws, and once those are extracted, you have unobstructed access to pretty much everywhere inside the case. The book is quite thick, but covers many languages as it continues, and is why there is only the one images, as to add them along with the text would have taken much more manual to get it done, and this way saves you some money as well. Before installing anything you need to remove the three drive brackets, all of which are secured by two thumbscrews and a single small Phillips head screw. The above image was supplied by Fractal too who assured me: "If this dont fix you issue we can change the hole USB PCB + Cable" when I asked about voiding warranty etc. I have seen quite a few of these Mini-ITX SFF chassis designs, and to tell you the truth, while not being a BitFenix Prodigy killer, the Node 304 does stand its ground.
